Does anyone own a dog with SEVERE allergies? I have been researching dogs foods and the barf diet. My understanding is that going to a raw (barf) diet is actually better for dogs with allergies. I am feeding one of the top foods now with NO corn, wheat, soy, beef or chicken added. Now, if I were to go to the barf diet then it would have to be only fish and lamb. I had my dog on a regimine of allergy shots for awhile until she started developing severe ear infections about 3 days after the shot was given. She has been off the shots for about a year now and the ear infections are returning with a vengence. Mind you she is allergic to everything under the sun. What do you do for allergies?

Have you tried a food with only ONE carbohydrate and ONE protein? That is what Brutus gets.

I get it from http://www.petfooddirect.com They have it down the street at a feed store, but it is actually more expensive to buy it there.

I currently have all mine on dry lamb and oatmeal AND salmon and anchovy. Plus they get one wet meal in the a.m. of the dry mixed with the eagle pack lamb and rice. I paid last week, $194.00 on 2 cases of canned and 100lbs of dry. I am trying my best and pay out the ass, spend more time reading ingredients and my poor Mady is just not responding anymore. Well, except for the weight department, she has blown up like a balloon. I swear she must weigh around 30lbs. I will have to get a weight later and see.
