Brutus gets children's vitamins for the iron, he is anemic. He has recently shown a distaste for for the red vitamin. He likes the orange and purple just fine. I have found sucked on vitamins all over my living room....all red. So, if I am giving him a red vitamin I make sure to disguise it in crushed pineapple or coconut oil or something. Worked for a while... I got home last night and went to fill their water bowl. It was red! I panicked and immediately thought it was blood. Then I noticed the powdery stuff on the bottom....he had dropped his red vitamin in the water bowl to get rid of it! I went and got him a pruple one and he gobbled it right up! Little Booger.... I can't even tell the difference in the tastes of the different colored vitamins!

Speaking from experience with food dyes - the red dye is a very bitter dye so he may be reacting to that taste. Some people (dogs) can taste it and some can't*11
